The Mosque of Zaid Bin Sohan
Near As-Sahla Mosque is the mosque of one of the
Prophet’s companion called: Zaid Bin Sohan.
The mosque was reconstructed in (1395 Hegira)
into a humble building.
The mosque covers (165 meter square).
Zaid was one of the leaders appointed by Imam
Ali (PBUH) in his army and he got martyred in
Al-Jamal Battle.
Prophet Mohammad has described him as saying:
“Who gets pleased to see some parts of Heaven,
and then let him look at Zaid Bin Sohan (Because
his hand was cut at Nahawand Battle)”.
